Personal Information and why I am into Spanish

My name is Ramin Izadi and I am a student at Shepherd. My major is Communications and I am studying Spanish for several reasons. Mainly I am required to take four semesters of a language for my communications major but there are other reasons as well. I have a spanish speaking friend and I think it would be fun to have conversations in Spanish with her and her family. Another reason is that eventually I may want to travel to a spanish speaking country and it would be very useful to already have a profound knowledge of their culture and their language so I would be able to have conversations with the citizens of the countries I may visit. The workers at my dad's restaurant speak Spanish so it would also be useful to be able to communicate with them. Those are my reasons for wanting to study Spanish.

Culture Assignment

I had a El Salvadorian meal at my friend’s house. The food we had was called a pupusa. From what I researched the pupusa is the main dish in El Salvador and my friend always talks about eating pupusas on social media. pupusas are made with a  corn flour tortilla or a rice flour tortilla. They then stuff the tortilla with cheese, refried beans, and pork meat that is cooked known as chicharrón. Instead of pork you can get vegetables which is what I prefer. The vegetables are usually ayote and garlic. I am not fond of pork so I prefer this option towards the other one. In the United States the dish is most prominent in most of California (around San Francisco mostly), Virginia, Washington D.C., Chicago, and in Texas. Unlike in El Salvador, pupusas in the United States are made with a commercial corn flour-masa mix instead of actual home made corn so one could say it’s not the genuine article. In El Salvador there is actual a day celebrating the pupusa. This holiday is known as Día Nacional de la Pupusa and it is celebrated on November 13th.

Me desperté y me levanté a las ocho y media  Después de me desperté me duché. Lavé me pelo as las ocho y media para la escuela. Me peine el pelo negro a las nueve. no me pinté los labios para yo soy el chico. Después de peine el negro me fui a la casa a las nueve y media. Me puse los zapatos negro. Hace mucho calor y sol. Me reuní con mis amigos después de la clase de español as las dos y media.

Mis amigos y yo jugamos los videojuegos. Mis amigos y yo fuimos a la casa de mi amiga a las cuatro y media. Mis amigos y yo comimos la pizza de queso a las cinco. Mi amigo comió la pizza mucho. Me fui a la casa de mi amiga a las seis. Me reuní con mi amigo (tiene pelo rubio) y otro amigos a las seis y media. Mis amigos otro y yo jugamos risk y damos un paseo a la diez.

Me fue a la casa de mi amigo (tiene pelo rubio) a la una. Hace mucho frío a la noche. Lavé mis dientes a las dos. Me acuesto a las tres y media. Me dormí a las cuatro porque yo tengo la clase en la mañana
